Lecutre on Taiwanese Documentaries that Confront Political Power

Sylvia Feng (馮賢賢) is the former president and chief executive of the Public Television Service Foundation (PTS) in Taiwan.  She has built a life-long career in the media industry as a producer, director and industry executive, having produced such critically acclaimed documentaries as Let It Be: The Last Rice Farmers, My Imported Wife, and the television release of The Dance Age, whose later theatrical release went on to win a Golden Horse Award for Best Documentary in 2003.  As a senior producer for the PTS programme Viewpoint, she established a standard of giving a voice to the voiceless through the documentary medium and reiginted the use of vernacular language in Taiwanese cinema.
