About the Film
Listening to Third Grandmother's Stories | China | 2011
When visiting her father's village in 2011, director and choreagrapher Wen Hui happened upon her long-lost grandmother, Su Meilin. This film documents Wen's subsequent temporary residency with her grandmother and her grandmother's stories about the many changes and upheavals she experienced in her lifetime.
About the Instructor
Wen Hui is a choreographer and dancer educated at the Beijing Dance Academy. In 1994, she founded Living Dance Studio with Wu Wenguang and has since choreogrpahed and tour internationally many original performance works. Her documentary "Listening to Third Grandmother's Stories" and theatre performances were exhibited at the China Pavillion of the 2015 Venice Biennale.
